Day number four of the Erie County Fair.
It’s Senior Fest, which means free admission for anyone 60 or over. Senior Fest activities will begin at 10am in the multipurpose building, and at noon, lunch will be served to the first 400 registered seniors. Also on tap today: Doo Wop and Motown music by the Smooth Groove. That starts at 2, in the multipurpose building. At 6:30 tonight, it’s the NTPA tractor pulls, which includes mini-modified tractors, pro stock, heavy super stock and super stock diesel. Grandstand admission is $5.
The Huron County Fair begins its six-day run Monday.

Four Lorain residents were arrested Tuesday afternoon, for selling suspected crack cocaine. Misty Brock, Leandra Kimbro, Kenneth MeGill and Brandon Taylor were taken to the Huron County Jail. The four were pulled over on U.S. Route 20, by deputies and Wakeman police. They seized a significant amount of crack, along with several hundred dollars cash.
A Youngstown man remains in the Erie County Jail, on charges connected to a Wednesday night disturbance.
Duwayne Walls allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, then held her against her will. The alleged incident occurred at the Manor Motel in Sandusky. Walls is currently charged with assault, domestic violence, disrupting public services and unlawful restraint.
