The 92nd annual Huron County Fair begins today, in Norwalk.
The gates will open at 8am. Kelly Rose will broadcast live from the Huron County Fair today and tomorrow, from 10a-3p, and Wednesday from 10-12:30.
On tap tonight: Country singer Dustin Lynch. His show begins at 7:30. General admission is $12, box seats $18 and track seats $20. More fair news—Tomorrow is Free Day, with free admission for all until 3pm…Rides will be extra. Wednesday is Veteran’s Day, with one cent admission for veterans with proper ID. Thursday is Senior Citizens Day, featuring one cent admission for anyone 60 and over.
Other fair information…Gate admission is $7, which includes rides and grandstand entertainment, except for tonight’s Dustin Lynch show. Children under 36 inches get in free.
The Erie County Fair is in the books.
Officials said this year’s attendance topped 42,000.
A Sunday night traffic stop in Norwalk led to the discovery of a gram of heroin, drug paraphernalia, over $4,000 cash, and the arrests of two people.
22-year-old Holly Daniel of Monroeville, and 32-year-old Steve Patrick of Sandusky were taken to the Huron County Jail.

State Route 60, at Route 162 in downtown New London remains closed, due to an unsafe building. The closure will remain in place indefinitely.
The third Sunday in August brings with it the 7th annual Norwalk City Schools all-class alumni reunion.
It’ll be held from 2-5pm this Sunday, at Norwalk High School. It’s free, with casual dress and no RSVP needed.
