Erie County Starts the week with 24 new cases and 171 deaths since the pandemic began.
Huron County has reported 29 new cases since yesterday and a total of 131 deaths since the pandemic began.
Lorain County reports 119 new cases of the Coronavirus and 539 deaths since the pandemic began.

There has been an outbreak of overdoses in Huron County.
The Norwalk Reflector Reports that an Overdose Alert has been issued due to three bad overdoses this weekend. Two of which were in Willard and one was in Plymouth.
The Plymouth Police Department responded to an overdose Saturday and then informed the county.

A road closed for roundabout work.
State Route 113 and Baumhart Road remains closed for an improvement project which will convert the current intersection into a roundabout.
According to ODOT, roundabouts help the limit speed of traffic and prevent crashes. The project is expected to be completed in November. Detours are posted.

A special state audit of the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Erie and Ottawa Counties has found no evidence of fraud.
According to the Sandusky register…
The audit was requested by the Erie County Commissioners in May after allegations of accounting abnormalities.

A Sheffield man is to be included in the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame.
95-year-old William “Bill” Clark has become one of two Lorain County Residents to be chosen for the induction into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame Class of 2021.
Clark served in the Navy and then he became an educator as well as a coach and public servant in three different states, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Colorado.

The Ohio Department of Health reports; those fully vaccinated for COVID 19 is closing in on 50-percent.
Those 12 years of age and older…who have received at least one dose… stands at nearly 63-percent.

The Lorain County Office on Aging is in the market for volunteer drivers.
They need people to deliver meals to seniors, and drivers who will take seniors to and from doctors’ appointments.

Commstar has announced, they will close their office on Detroit Road in Avon at the end of this year.
Officials from the credit union say, it was a difficult, challenging decision, but they’ve decided to invest in interactive teller machines in Elyria, Lorain and Avon.
They are scheduled to be operational in the spring.
