One day after outlining a new policy regarding the state’s COVID curfew, Governor Mike DeWine announced that Ohio Department of Health Director Stephanie McCloud signed a health order, pushing back the statewide curfew one hour, to 11 pm, beginning tomorrow night.
The new hours will last through February 11th.
The governor says, the change is being made, because Ohio hospitalizations for COVID-19 have remained below 35-hundred for seven consecutive days.

In local Corona Virus numbers…
Erie County had 37 new cases reported from Monday to Wednesday, with the death toll staying at 139.
22 new cases were reported from Tuesday to Wednesday in Huron County, with fatalities remaining at 41.
Lorain County Public Health reports that the local death toll from the Corona Virus now stands at 212…up from 201 one week ago. The age breakdown: 7 in their 80’s, 2 in their 70’s, 1 in their 60’s, and 1 in their 40’s.

A boil alert affecting a handful of Sandusky residences on East Perkins Avenue has been lifted, as reported by the Sandusky Register.
The alert was first put into place on Tuesday.

The Ohio National Guard is sending a military police company to Washington D.C., at the request of the National Guard Bureau.
About 150 MP’s from the unit based in Toledo will provide additional security in the nation’s capital, through mid-March.

Help is on the way, to help the homeless in Lorain County.
The Community Foundation of Lorain County has approved an emergency grant of 75-thousand-dollars for the “Neighborhood Alliance” for hotel vouchers and to hire a case manager, to work exclusively with the homeless.

The North Ridgeville Auto Title Office is no more.
Lorain County Clerk of Courts Tom Orlando says, the office on Center Ridge Road was closed last month, with employees shifting to Elyria.
He says, the Elyria office…in the county administration building…has been expanded, and the Lorain office on Broadway has added work stations.

The Huron County Treasurer’s Office wants residents to know that real estate tax bills were mailed on Thursday, January 14th.
But, due to delays with the postal service, many bills have not been delivered.

According to the Chronicle Telegram, a council committee is recommending that the city hire a design firm for the project.
It calls for the addition of a turn lane…with work running from Abbe Road to Cedar Way.
