Snow returns to the forecast this weekend…

The National Weather Service is calling for a couple of inches both Saturday night and Sunday.

Erie, Huron and Lorain Counties stayed at Level 3 Red in the state’s latest ratings for Corona Virus spread, released Thursday.

Hamilton County, which includes Cincinnati, is no longer listed as a Level 4 Purple, leaving the state without a county in Purple.

In Huron County COVID-19 numbers…

The county had 23 new reported cases on Thursday, with the death toll remaining at 41.

More details on Ohio’s school staff vaccination process are expected to be released today, as the first round of vaccinations roll out next week for the state’s teachers and staff.

Governor Mike DeWine announced Thursday that K to 12 schools whose staff can be vaccinated next week have been notified.

All other schools will be contacted today with information on when their K-12 staff will be permitted to receive a vaccine.

Police in North Ridgeville say, a Wellington man faces charges…

33-year-old Steven Bughman…accused of reporting a fake shooting.

Police say, they traced his phone to Elyria…where he was arrested.

Residents of Vermilion are invited to an online, public meeting, for their comments on construction of storage units off of Liberty Avenue.

According to the Chronicle Telegram, some nearby residents have already started a petition drive, to block the project.

They worry about security, aesthetics and potential water runoff.

Vermilion’s online public meeting will be held Monday at 6:00 pm.

Calling student volunteers…

According to Norwalk Ohio News.com, the Norwalk Arts Center is in need of student volunteers to help clean out the Norwalk Theatre next month.

To limit students of different school districts from mixing together for safety reasons, the 3-hour volunteer shifts, which begin February 13th, will be separated by specific school.

After putting plans on hold in 2020, Cedar Point is set to celebrate its 150th anniversary this year.

The park announced Thursday that they will open for the 2021 season on May 14th.

It will soon be, Gabe’s

According to the Chronicle Telegram, the former Dick’s store across from the Midway Mall will soon be home to Gabe’s…described as an apparel, home, travel and footware store.

The store is expected to open in March.
