A man from Lorain has been indicted on a charge of murder.
22 year-old Jonathan Quillen is accused of forcing his way into the home of 78 year old Oscar Lang, and beating him during a robbery attempt.
Lang died several weeks after the July attack on West 25th in Lorain.

Huron County has seen an uptick in COVID-19 cases the last few days.
There were 16 new reported cases Wednesday after 17 cases were reported on Tuesday.

The latest state color-coded ratings for COVID-19 spread will be released this afternoon as part of Governor Mike DeWine’s news conference.
Erie County currently sits at a Level 2 Orange, while Huron County is a Level 1 Yellow.

12 small businesses in Norwalk have been awarded grant money by the Huron County Commissioners through the federal CARES Act.
According to Norwalk Ohio News.com, amounts ranged from $2,500 to $10,000.
The money is for businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
More funds are expected to be awarded in the near future.

The state’s minimum wage is set for an increase in 2021.
It’ll raise to $8.80 an hour for non-tipped workers and up to $4.40 an hour for tipped employees, beginning January 21st.

Recipients include:

- The Veterans Service Commission
- Local food banks

They’re looking to hire ‘Winter Seasonal Highway Technicians’ for a 7-county area, including Erie, Lorain and Medina Counties.
Technicians typically work 40 hours per week…more if there are snow and ice events.
