The Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal car crash in Camden Township.
Troopers say, a car driven by 51 year-old Raymond Harris of Wakeman veered off Baumhart Road last night and struck a tree.

Huron County was raised from a Level 1 Yellow to a Level 2 Orange in the latest state color-coded ratings for COVID-19 spread released Thursday.
Erie and Lorain counties both remained at a Level 2 Orange.
To our south, both Ashland and Richland Counties are at a Level 3 Red Alert, with Richland County approaching a Level 4.

Erie County had 1 reported death Thursday for a total of 48.
In Huron County, an outbreak is being investigated at a nursing home. A total of 42 cases have been reported at the Willows at Willard over the last week.
Lorain County is closing in on 25-hundred confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 since mid-March. More than 4-thousand people have been quarantined at one time or another.

A fire was reported at the Sandusky Kroger store Thursday evening.
According to the Sandusky Register, the incident was under investigation, as of last night.
No other details have been made available.

The Ohio Supreme Court has ruled; the state’s product liability law does NOT extend to an online marketplace such as Amazon.
The case was brought by the family of Logan Stiner.
He was about to graduate from Keystone High School in 2014, when he died of ‘caffeine toxicity’ from a product he bought on Amazon.

The Highway Patrol has announced; they are stepping up patrols on Route 2 from the Lorain/Erie County line, westward, to Route 4 in Erie County, with a focus on ‘distracted driving’.
Troopers say, from 2015 to 2019, there were more than 750 crashes in that area.

Another $200,000 of federal CARES Act money has been earmarked for Huron County small businesses affected by the pandemic.
According to Norwalk Ohio News.com, this comes after 12 businesses were awarded CARES Act funds on Tuesday, ranging from $2,500 to $10,000.

Local governments will benefit from a bill signed by Governor Mike DeWine.
House Bill 614 provides distribution of another 650-million-dollars in federal CARES Act money to local governments, to help with Corona Virus relief efforts.

The Huron County Board of Elections is reminding citizens that are not already registered, that they must register to vote or change their name or address by this Monday, in order to be eligible to vote in the November 3rd, General Election.
