A former Sandusky pastor has been sentenced to life in prison.

According to the Sandusky Register, 59 year-old Richard Mick, formerly of Lighthouse Baptist Church, was convicted last week of rape and gross sexual imposition involving children at his church.

Governor Mike DeWine used his regular Corona Virus news conference Tuesday to again call for the passage of a law in the state legislature strengthening penalties for gun violence.

DeWine said in the past week, at least 20 people were murdered with guns, and another 21 were shot in Ohio.

DeWine cited Sunday morning’s shooting incident in Sandusky which left 29 year-old Bernasto Hardin dead and 3 others hurt.

Governor DeWine is calling for the first major overhaul of Ohio’s Medicaid program in 15 years.

The governor says, he wants more focus on people rather than the business of managed care.

The county reported 17 new cases on Tuesday for a total of 572 since the pandemic began.

Some political pundits are calling last night’s event on the campus of Case Western Reserve University ‘the worst ever’, with numerous insults and interruptions.

A Medina man is in jail after leading police on a high speed chase following a drive-by shooting incident in Huron County on Monday.

According to Norwalk Ohio News.com, 43 year-old Brian Schultz reportedly shot at a home on New London Section Line Road; and then fled.

Sheriff’s Deputies pursued Schultz until he crashed into a creek area on DeRussey Road, north of Route 18.

Schultz was then taken into custody and transported to the hospital with reported injuries.

School officials in Vermilion will host a virtual, town hall meeting tonight, to outline plans for a return to school, in mid-October.

Currently, students are learning remotely, and will have the opportunity to continue that option.

Tonight’s town hall will begin at 6:30.

Norwalk’s Street Resurfacing Project will finish up on Water Street, today and Thursday.

Water Street will be closed for repaving and manhole replacements.
