Police in Lorain are holding ‘person of interest’ in connection with a shooting Sunday night that left a toddler dead.
Family members say, a man walked up to the home at West 21st and Reeves and opened fire.
Two adults were wounded.
Two year-old…Kamily Patterson…was killed.

A 35-year-old Sandusky man was one of 10 people arrested in an online child predator sting by the Fremont Police Department.
According to the Fremont News Messenger, Terrance McCain and nine others were charged with attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and importuning.

A major drug arrest in Erie County…
Following a traffic stop, the State Highway Patrol seized 500 grams of heroin worth nearly $27,000 from two men on the Ohio Turnpike.
The men, ages 23 and 25, were from New York and Michigan.

66 Put-in-Bay business employees and residents tested positive for COVID-19 from nearly 1,000 tests given on the island last weekend.
That number could still go up; as 33 more tests need to be finalized.
Ottawa County Health Commissioner Jerry Bingham told the Sandusky Register that the positive numbers are lower than expected; and that no business will have to be shut down.
The tests were in response to a 7-person outbreak of COVID-19 from those who were returning from Put-in-Bay late last month.

In local COVID-19 numbers…
Erie County had 19 new cases reported Monday to equal a total of 286.
Huron County had 13 cases on Monday for a total of 260.
The Corona Virus has taken another life in Lorain County. Lorain County Public Health reports, it was a man in his 80’s. The county’s death toll from the virus now stands at 65.
Statewide, Ohio had about 250 more cases (1,261) than the 21-day average (1,015). As for fatalities, Ohio was below the 21-day average of 17, as the state had 6 deaths reported Monday.

Staff members at the Lorain/Medina Community Based Correctional Facility will be tested through today, for the Corona Virus.
The widespread testing comes after 2 workers tested positive, along with at least a dozen inmates.

The Erie County Fair in Sandusky has made some announcements regarding this year’s activities…
-Fair admission will be free to the public
-A number of food vendors will be on hand
-There will be no rides or grandstand events
-Most livestock shows will remain the same date/time
-All 4-H and FFA members, their families and volunteers will be able to camp at the fairgrounds like normal

Norwalk Mayor Dave Light is expected tonight to ask city council to give their OK to what’s called a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area.
The area, according to the Norwalk Reflector, is a loophole in the open container law; which would allow for the city to designate an outdoor area where alcoholic drinks can be held and consumed in designated cups.
The area would cover around 27 acres and begin at the intersection of West Main and Case/Church Streets.

Among them citing COVID-19 concerns;
- Lorain County Veterans Services
- Lorain County Public Libraries that share a booth
- And the Brighton United Methodist Church food booth at the grandstand
Also dropping out this year; retired Vietnam veteran Russell Bissett…he sold clothing, memorabilia and Confederate flags.
