Detectives are investigating a violent attack that left a migrant worker  dead in southern Huron County.

Deputies were summoned to the Baseline Road scene late Sunday night…They arrived to find the victim face down, in a pool of blood. Reports indicate the man died from knife wounds. His body was sent to Lucas County, for an autopsy. His identity remains unknown. Deputies and U.S. Border Patrol interpreters are conducting interviews with potential witnesses.

The Sandusky Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that claimed a biker in Margaretta Township.

48-year-old Kristina McGraw of Sandusky was killed shortly after 7 last night. Troopers said her Harley was hit by a Jeep that pulled into her path, on State Route 101. The 16-year-old Jeep driver, and a 17-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries, and were taken to Firelands Regional Medical Center. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash.

A Monday evening crash near the Huron-Erie County line injured two Norwalk residents.

20-year-old Scott Anderson was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, after the 6pm crash on State Route 61. His condition is unknown. Anderson was injured, when he tried to turn onto Arlington Road, and was hit by an oncoming car, driven by Melvin Brumby. Brumby was taken to Fisher-Titus Medical Center. Anderson was charged with failure to yield.

A new study shows a worker who smokes costs his or her employer about $6,000 more a year, than a non-smoker.

Researchers said most of those increased costs come from higher health-care expenses, along with smoke breaks.

A Catholic School teacher from Cincinnati who was fired, after becoming pregnant through artificial insemination has won her anti-discrimination suit.

Yesterday, a federal jury said the Roman Catholic Archdiocese must pay Christa Dias more than $170,000. Dias, who is not Catholic, claimed she didn’t know artificial insemination violated church doctrine and her employment agreement. It’s not known if the church will appeal.

A former central Ohio music teacher will spend six months in jail, for having sex with two teenage female students.

Matthew Miller was sentenced yesterday. Once released from prison, he’ll serve five years probation. Miller was a choir teacher at Buckeye Valley High School, in Delaware County.
