For the fifth time since 1997, the St. Paul Flyers will play for a state football championship. The Flyers will play Maria Stein Marion Local at 10am this Saturday, at Ohio Stadium in Columbus. St. Paul’s previous state championship game appearances came in 1997, 1999, 2004 and 2009. The Flyers won the 2009 state championship, topping Delphos St. John, 24-21. Hunting hours are one half-hour before sunrise, to 30 minutes after sunset. Hunters must have a deer permit, and a valid Ohio hunting license.
A Willard man is facing criminal charges, connected to a recent break-in at Strawberry Hill, on State Route 4.
30-year-old Jason Wolford is currently charged with breaking and entering, theft and possession of criminal tools. Wolford and a second suspect allegedly broke into business November 22nd, and stole several hundred dollars, and numerous cartons of cigarettes. He was arrested several days later. The second suspect remains at-large.
A worker at Kohl’s in Perkins Township has been charged with felony and misdemeanor theft, for allegedly failing to ring up more than $1,000 worth of items.
27-year-old Heather Jensen was jailed last week, after store officials and police learned she didn’t scan bar codes of certain items, and allowed her boyfriend and two others to leave the store with the unpaid merchandise. The boyfriend, 29-year-old Dale Ryan is charged with receiving stolen property.

The uptown pizza shop re-opened Friday afternoon a little more than a month after it closed. Lanny Gilbert and his girlfriend, Tami Stamm, are the new owners. Hours will be 4 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 4 to midnight on the weekends. “We will have carryout only after midnights,” Gilbert said. “If people are still calling I will still be open.”
Columbus police say a body found this afternoon in the University District is that of missing Ohio State football player Kosta Karageorge.
He apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Karageorge, 22, graduated from Thomas Worthington High School and wrestled for three years as a Buckeye before joining the football team in August. He appeared in one game, against Penn State. Karageorge would have been one of 24 seniors recognized at Ohio Stadium on Saturday before their final home game against Michigan.
It was ugly for the Cleveland Browns vs. Buffalo Bills yesterday with a final score of 26-10 leaving the Browns tied in 4th place with Baltimore and Pittsburgh in the AFC North all three teams are 7-5.
Although a gloomy day for the Dawg Pound, Manziel made his debut at 12:00 in the 4th quarter making a 10-yard touchdown. Cleveland will take on the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday at Browns Stadium kickoff at 1pm.
With a loss of a fellow team mate, the Ohio State Buckeyes came out of Saturday’s game in Columbus with a win over rivals Michigan State final score 42-28.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today warned Ohioans to be cautious of opportunities to make extra money this holiday season.
Some job offers and work-from-home opportunities are scams. In 2014, the Ohio Attorney General’s Office has received nearly 100 complaints involving job or business-opportunity potential scams. The average reported loss is more than $1,300. To avoid scams, DeWine encourages job seekers to research the company offering the work by contacting the Ohio Attorney General’s Office and the local Better Business Bureau.

For 32 years, Holy Angels and Zion Lutheran churches in Sandusky have teamed up to serve Thanksgiving dinners to the community.
Volunteers had about 90 cooked turkeys to prepare for dinner plates. About 300 volunteers participated over the two days to make the dinner possible, whether prepping and cooking the meal or helping serve or deliver the meals.
