The Norwalk Police Department is warning businesses and retail shops that fake $100 bills are being passed in the Maple City and the surrounding area.
The counterfeit bills appear to be very well done, and can easily be mistaken for real $100 bills. Police are urging businesses to make every effort to ensure $100 bills are real. If there’s any doubt, businesses and employees should contact the Norwalk Police Department at 419-668-3311. 9-1-1 may be called, if a person trying to pass counterfeit money is present.
