The former publisher of the Tiffin Advertiser-Tribune is headed to prison for a year and a half.
According to the Sandusky Register, Christopher Dixon had entered a guilty plea of aggravated theft and must pay nearly 2-hundred-thousand-dollars in restitution to the Advertiser-Tribune.
Dixon was believed to have stolen over 8-hundred-thousand-dollars from the paper during a time frame of 8 years.

The Lorain County Grand Jury has indicted a man from Lorain on a SECOND charge…a man who is being held in jail, accused of trying to kill his wife.
According to the Chronicle Telegram, 40 year old Brian Fazio is now accused of trying to hire others to finish the job.
Fazio has pled ‘not guilty’.

The city of Lorain has joined the Lorain School System, in a plan to upgrade The Pipeyard at Campana Park.
The 50 year contract gives the school system, scheduling priority.

A man from Medina County has been charged with theft…
…theft…of a 58-foot pedestrian bridge.
The city of Akron had been storing the bridge in a field while they considered its next location.
63-year-old Carmen San Diego is accused of first, removing the deck, then hiring a hauling company to take the rest of the bridge to his property in Sharon Township.

The State of Ohio is sending nearly 900-thousand-dollars to 17 child advocacy and trauma centers, to help cover pandemic-related costs.
The Nord Center in Lorain is one of the facilities…receiving 91-thousand-dollars.

It’s come down to 2 finalists in the search for Norwalk’s next Police Chief.
According to Norwalk Ohio News.com, they are Norwalk Police Sergeant Jim Montana and Police Captain Dave Smith.
Next up…interviews by Montana and Smith with the selection committee.
They are looking to replace former Police Chief Mike Conney, who retired earlier this month following a more than 30-year law enforcement career.
