A Lorain man has pled guilty to aggravated murder in Erie County.
According to the Sandusky Register, Exavier Cruz has agreed to a plea deal in connection with the shooting death of 41-year-old Tavon Myers of Sandusky last December.
Two other suspects in the shooting have complicity charges against them.

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost calls it, ‘the largest human trafficking sting in the state history’.

A federal court has rejected an appeal filed by an Elyria man who believes his 5-year prison sentence for dealing drugs is “unreasonable”.
39-year-old Keeon Green had pled ‘guilty’ to selling drugs to a police informant in 2019.

A Henrietta Township man will be sentenced next month, after pleading ‘guilty’ to accusations that he planted a hidden camera in his bathroom and took photos of nude teenagers.
32-year-old Paul Churchill of Route 511 remains in the Erie County Jail.

Willard Fire and Rescue wants to remind residents that a ‘Burn Ban’ is in effect for this month and November.
The statewide ban from 6 am to 6 pm includes the open burning of debris, trash and yard waste.

A local candidates forum is scheduled for tonight in Vermilion.
It will take place at German’s Villa on Liberty Avenue from 6 to 8 pm.
Candidates invited to speak include those for City Mayor, City Council, Township Trustee and School Board in Vermilion; as well as Brownhelm Township Trustee and the Firelands School Board.
