A look at Huron County COVID-19 numbers…
According to Huron County Public Health, the case count was 251 during the time frame of September 24th through 30th, compared to 324 the previous week.
The average age of cases has increased to 37, but the highest number of cases for this week is reported in the 11 to 20 age group.
Almost all Huron County zip codes are currently reporting cases, with the highest positivity rate in Norwalk with 103 positive cases of COVID-19 for the reporting period of September 24 through 30th.
On Sunday, 21 new cases were reported, with 2 new deaths this past Friday for a total of 133 since the pandemic began.

New COVID numbers from the Ohio Department of Health…
…about 34-hundred new cases reported yesterday…the lowest number in several weeks.
Of those 34-hundred, 90 came from Lorain County.

Starting today, Fisher-Titus in Norwalk is putting new visitor guidelines in effect for COVID-19 positive patients.
The Norwalk Reflector reports that only one designated visitor will be permitted for one hour each day, between the time slots of 10:00 am to 12 noon or 4 to 6 pm.
Visitors are then asked to exit the building immediately after their visit, which includes not stopping at the cafe or gift shop.

The Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on Quarry Road in Amherst Township.
Troopers say, it appears 63 year old Kenneth Schmidt of Lorain lost control of his motorcycle Saturday afternoon, veered off the road and struck a sign.

A new outpatient addiction treatment center has opened in the Sandusky-area.
According to the Sandusky Register…Brightview, on East Perkins Avenue in Perkins Township, can assist over 700 residents with the ability to create over 20-full-time jobs.

A road closure is set to start on Tuesday in Huron County…
Omega Road, between Route 13 and Rome Greenwich Road in Greenwich Township, will be shut down to traffic through October 18th.

Today, the Second Harvest Food Bank will host a drive thru, mobile food pantry at Ely Stadium in Elyria.
It’ll run from 3:30 until 5:30 pm.
