One death and multiple injuries from a 3-vehicle crash in Perkins Township on Monday evening…
Jason Peltz of Macedonia was 48.
According to the Sandusky Register, the crash occurred on Route 250 at the intersection into an access road to Chick-Fil-A and other businesses.
Peltz was a passenger in a van that reportedly turned into the path of 2 SUVs and was hit in the passenger side.
Other vehicle occupants were treated and released from Firelands Regional Medical Center.

North Ridgeville Police Chief Mike Freeman is asking for a new police station, south of Fire Station number one on Ranger Way.
He says it would give the department the needed “modern space” to match the growth of the city.
A levy for the funding of the 12 and a half million dollar station will be on the November ballot.
North Ridgeville’s current police stations are 40 and 27 years-old.

An update on the fundraising campaign for the City of Norwalk’s Independence Day fireworks…
As of Tuesday afternoon, over 2-thousand of the 10-thousand dollar goal has been raised.
Donations can be mailed or dropped off to the Norwalk Area Visitors Bureau.

The new Carvana facility in Elyria Township held it’s ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, as the 23 million dollar investment project will bring over 400 new jobs to Lorain County.
The project is the largest single investment in the history of Elyria Township.

This time, it’s the Oberlin Senior Center.
It shut down temporarily when the pandemic began but now, after a vote by the Neighborhood Alliance board, it’s closing its doors for good.

Visitors can address VA claims, any veteran-related concerns or issues they might have, or just chat with staff members.
