He was taken to the hospital late Saturday, but was pronounced dead on Sunday.

A Sheffield man is in Lorain County jail after police say he shot his wife.
72-year-old Ronald Diamond faces attempted murder charges in regard to the shooting of his wife Deborah, whose condition is unknown as of yesterday afternoon.
The investigation is ongoing and Ronald is scheduled to appear in Avon Lake Municipal Court on Wednesday at 9 am.

Governor DeWine has issued an urgent appeal to COVID-19 vaccine providers…
DeWine said Monday that approximately 200,000 doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccine in Ohio are set to expire on June 23rd, and is asking providers to distribute as many doses as possible to eligible Ohioans, as quickly as possible.
Governor DeWine also appealed to Ohioans who have not been vaccinated yet, saying “the time to act is now.”

No one was hurt in a house fire Monday in Norwalk.
The Norwalk Reflector reports that 2 cats, a dog and hedgehog were rescued from the blaze on Milan Avenue, which reportedly started in the kitchen of the home.
The fire is under investigation.

An Illinois man was charged with multiple felonies after allegedly resisting arrest inside Kalahari Resorts on Sunday.
According to the Sandusky Register, 26-year-old Nicholas Miller faces charges of aggravated menacing, assault on a police officer and obstructing official business.
Miller was reportedly intoxicated and wouldn’t vacate the check-in area at the resort.

Road construction is planned to start today in Monroeville.
Route 547 (Monroe Street) at Route 20 will be closed, with a scheduled completion date of Thursday.

Ground has been broken on a four million dollar project in Elyria.
Crane Aerospace and Lear Romec are renovating their Elyria location, adding 8 and a half thousand square feet of space for repair operations.
The project will also add about 10 full-time jobs.
It is expected to be finished by January of 2022.

The city of Oberlin now has a 2 million dollar plan in place to expand walking and biking trails.
It’s a five-year plan that includes building out sidewalks in high-traffic areas and adding multi-use trails that would serve both walkers and cyclists
The money will come from multiple sources, mainly the city’s general fund.
