Corona Virus hospitalizations continue to increase throughout Ohio.
Governor Mike DeWine announced Monday that those hospitalized with COVID-19 have hit an all-time high at over 5,000 people; compared to just under 1,700 COVID-19 patients on November 1st.

COVID-19 numbers from Huron County…
Huron County Public Health reports that for the reporting period of November 20th through November 26th, Huron County has seen an increase in just over 400 COVID-19 cases.
Of those new cases, 133 were reported within Norwalk, 75 in Bellevue, and 62 in Willard.

COVID-19 figures from Erie County…
There was 1 new reported death on Monday to bring the death toll to 75.
Over 200 more cases were also reported Monday.

According to provisional numbers from the State Highway Patrol, 9 people were killed on Ohio’s roadways this Thanksgiving holiday.
Of the nine killed, two were pedestrians, four were not wearing a seatbelt and two involved impaired driving.
In 2019, there were 15 fatal crashes in which 18 people were killed.

Police in Amherst are asking for your help, in finding the person who sprayed a Panera employee in the face with an unknown substance, at the drive-thru window on November 9th.
Police have posted surveillance video on their Facebook page, in hopes of nabbing the person.

No one was hurt when a small fire broke out at a Sandusky factory on Monday.
According to the Sandusky Register, the blaze at LEWCO on Lane Street only caused minor damage.
The cause of the fire was mechanical.

The Chronicle Telegram’s annual “Not Forgotten Box” campaign is officially underway, although some people have already dropped off toy donations at the Chronicle’s complex in downtown Elyria.
Toys will be sorted and distributed by the Salvation Army in Elyria, and this year, more than 11-hundred families have applied for help.

The first day of December marks the end of a moratorium on water utility shutoffs in Elyria.
Mayor Frank Whitfield issued the moratorium earlier this year due to COVID 19 and the loss of jobs.
Residents with unpaid water bills are encouraged to contact the Salvation Army for help.
