The police say that scammers are contacting people asking for gift cards and money while pretending to be from St. Paul Catholic Church.
The church has assured the police department that this is a scam and said that they would never raise money this way.
Some Roadwork in Erie County this week
U.S. Route 6 between Berlin Road and Lincoln Avenue will be down to single lane for roadway improvements.
The inside lanes of U.S. Route 6 between Williams Street and Berlin Road will be closed to traffic for milling and repair work.
The Norwalk City Council will be asked to make a decision to allow dormitories within the city.

Mayor Dave Light’s administration will discuss two ordinances on Tuesday night. The first ordinance would allow dorms as a “permitted use” in family residence districts and the other would allow for “conditional use” dorms in those same districts.
