A 17-year-old resident of Furnace Street has been charged with ‘reckless homicide’ in connection with the shooting-death of 17-year-old Brandon Bruce of Elyria.
Police found Brandon, Sunday morning, in a garage on Furnace Street, with a gunshot wound to the face.
Police have said, Brandon and the other teen were friends.
The State Highway Patrol has released their Thanksgiving Holiday report…
The Patrol says 15 people were killed in 13 fatal crashes from last Wednesday through Sunday.
Of the 15…2 were pedestrians, 2 were not wearing a seat belt, and 2 involved impaired driving.
This compares to 7 people being killed in 7 fatal crashes a year ago.
A mother and her two young kids escaped safely from a house fire in Sandusky Sunday night.
According to the Sandusky Register, firefighters believe an electrical issue involving a space heater in a bedroom caused the blaze in the 200 block of Reese Street.
About $25,000 in damage was done to the home and its contents.

-Do not assume that charity recommendations on social media sites are all legitimate. Make sure to research the charity.
-Be cautious of “look-alike” websites and charities with names that sound similar to well-known organizations.
-Make sure the donation website is secure.
-Determine what percentage of the donation will go to the charity and whether there will be any fees for donating.

The City of Willard has canceled this weekend’s inaugural “Playground of Lights”.
