The Lorain County Grand Jury has indicted a woman from Lorain on a charge of “involuntary manslaughter”.
34-year-old Marsha Watchorn is accused of causing the accidental overdose-death of 26-year-old Nicholas Cruz of Lorain, earlier this year.
Governor Mike DeWine has announced grants totaling more than $44 million for the identification and elimination of lead paint in homes.
Among those, Erie County is set to receive $3.8 million…to be used for lead-based paint hazard control and lead hazard reduction.
The grants were awarded to cities and counties in Ohio by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

A woman from the Wakeman/Vermilion area has been accused of sneaking drugs into the Erie County Jail.
According to the Sandusky Register, 38-year-old Sarah Grattan has been charged with a felony count of ‘illegal conveyance of drugs’ in connection with an alleged incident this past April.
Corrections officers at the time said they found meth in a bag brought in by Grattan.

‘City-wide Cleanup’ will be happening from 9 to 1 at the Shelby Street Boat Launch and parking lot…with Sandusky residents only allowed to drive through and drop off unwanted items such as appliances, batteries and mattresses.
Items not allowed to be dropped off include hazardous waste, paint, and household garbage.
