The latest on a married couple accused of embezzling thousands of dollars from the Milan Melon Festival while working as organizers…
According to the Sandusky Register, 47-year-old Aaron Timbs has plead no contest to a felony grand theft charge…facing up to a-year-and-a-half in jail and an order to pay back $19,000 in restitution. But, a judge could enter him into a diversion program rather than send him to prison.
His wife Tracy is scheduled to go to trial next month in Huron County on charges of forgery and felony theft.

Erie County/Sandusky City Schools selects new construction manager
The Sandusky Board of Education last night approved a new construction manager for their “Building Better Dreams Project’ that includes three brand new elementary schools.
The school district says Mosser Construction out of Fremont/Maumee will begin working on their new Intermediate Building on Hayes Avenue and the Ontario Building site that will house 1st and 2nd grades; as soon as possible. Those are both slated to open next year.
The new preschool and kindergarten Hancock Building is scheduled to open in 2022.
Huron County/Monroeville Hall of Fame
The 11th annual class of the Monroeville Hall of Fame has been announced.
They are… alumni members Bonnie Berkley Pigman, Greg Schafer and Dale Scheid along with the 1975-76 boys basketball team.
A ceremony is planned for Saturday, January 26th with inductees to be recognized before the varsity basketball game.
