Trial has been delayed, for a Willard man charged with raping a woman in June, in the Holiday Lakes area.
Instead of this week, 38-year-old David Barnum will stand trial October 22nd.
Alcohol may have caused an accident that sent a Norwalk man to a Cleveland hospital.
43-year-old Robert Stuckert suffered serious injuries shortly before 1am yesterday, when he crashed on Townline Road 151, near the Bronson-Norwalk Conservation Club. Reports indicate Stuckert lost control, and hit a tree head-on. He was taken to Fisher-Titus Medical Center, then was flown to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center. His condition is unknown.
The budget will be the topic, when the Huron County Board of Elections meets in special session, September 16th.
The meeting will begin at 8am, in the board office in the Huron County Administration building.

Cedar Point won the honor at Saturday’s “Golden Ticket Awards” ceremony in California. In addition, Millennium Force was named “Best Steel Roller Coaster in the World” for the third consecutive year. The Magnum XL-200 came in 9th, Top Thrill Dragster #12, and Maverick #22. The Blue Streak was named #27th, in the “Best Wooden Roller Coaster” category. Cedar Point’s newest coaster, Gatekeeper was voted one of the top three “Best New Rides” in the world.
There’s a new game for lottery players.
The Ohio Lottery has joined the Multi-State Millions Raffle, which involves six other U.S. lotteries in a traditional “split-the-pot” raffle. The game will have at least two guaranteed $1 million dollar prizes. Tickets cost $10 apiece, and will be on sale through October 31st. The drawing will be held November 1st. Other state participating are Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, New York and Oklahoma.
