The Ted Cruz for President campaign will be in Erie County tonight.
Supporters of the GOP Senator from Texas are welcome to attend a Northern Ohio ‘CruzCrew’ meet and greet at 7pm at the Village Pizza House in Castalia. County chairs and volunteers from around Ohio will be there, along with the Ted Cruz coordinator for Ohio.
After a 20 percent drop in profits, Kohl’s has announced plans to close 18 underperforming stores.
Locations will be announced by the end of March. In Ohio, Kohl’s has more than 50 stores, including Sandusky, Lorain and Mansfield.
An Ohio man who walked away from a prison camp, then lived a quiet life for 56 years will be released on parole in April.
The fate of 79-year-old Frank Freshwaters was determined yesterday by the Ohio Adult Parole Authority Board. In 1957, then 21-year-old Frank Freshwaters was speeding, and hit and killed an Akron man. He pleaded guilty to manslaughter, and was sentenced to five years probation. After violating probation, he was sent to prison, then a Sandusky prison honor farm. He fled the prison farm, went to West Virginia, then Florida and lived under the alias William Cox. He was found last May, living in a mobile home near Melbourne, Florida.
