Four were graduates of Huron High School: Special Forces Sgt. James Fekete, Army Sgt. Terrance Mesenburg, U.S. Navy Fireman James Baumer, and Marine Corps Sgt. Michael Finke Jr. The other is Army Specialist Charles Odums II, a graduate of Sandusky High School. To gain recognition, a minor party must collect at least three percent of the vote in the most recent race for president or governor in Ohio, or turn in petitions with signatures of at least 500 people who voted in the last major election.
