No one was hurt in a shooting outside of Kalahari resort last night. 

According to the Sandusky Register, multiple gunshot rounds were found in front of the resort.

18-year-old Evan McKinney of Toledo was arrested this morning in connection with the shooting…with authorities searching for another man allegedly involved.

Here are your election results from Tuesday night…

In Huron County:

-A school levy for Monroeville failed.

-A tax levy passed for North Fairfield.

-2 levies, for cemeteries and parks, passed by just a vote each in Greenwich, with a recount likely.

-A Greenwich tax levy for roads failed.

*Voter turnout was at 4 percent.

In Erie County:

-A levy for Huron Schools failed.

-A levy for Margaretta Schools passed.

-In Vermilion, current Mayor Jim Forthofer and challenger Jerry Kyle received the two most votes in the primary, advancing to this November’s election

*Voter turnout was at 21 percent.

In Lorain County:

-In Columbia Township, a levy for roads failed.

-In Sheffield Township, a levy for fire and EMS failed.

-The Clearview School System levy failed.

-Levies all passed  for branches of the Lorain Public Library System in Avon Lake, Oberlin, Lorain and in Sheffield Lake for Domonkas.

-Voter turnout was at 6 ½ percent (fewest numbers of voters in at least 20 years)

A Lorain man is due in court…a suspect in the shooting death last week of 36-year-old Edwin Guzman.

28-year-old Joshua Oquendo is charged with ‘murder’.

Police say, they found Guzman, shot several times in a car that sideswiped several others and came to rest on the front lawn of a home on East 29th.

Police in Lorain have arrested a suspect in a shooting that put another man in the hospital.

22-year-old Kenton Taylor is charged with ‘attempted murder’.

19-year-old Marquis Smallwood of Lorain was shot at the Cotton Club on East 28th in March.

He remains at Metro in Cleveland.

Police say, 2 other people were also hurt.

Checking Huron County COVID-19 figures…

1 new death and 3 new cases were reported on Tuesday.

The city of Huron is the benefactor of some state funding from the Ohio Water Development Authority.

They’re receiving a low interest loan of around $900,000 for 20 years for the construction of a waterline along Berlin Road to replace aging water lines and eliminate dead ends.

A Memorial Day tradition will take place this year.  

The Norwalk Reflector reports that the city of Norwalk will host a Memorial Day Parade on the 31st of this month.

It will begin at 9:30 am, and go the route of Woodlawn Avenue, ending at Woodlawn Cemetery.

More than 1 year into the COVID-19 pandemic, the worldwide economy is beginning to rebound.

In Lorain, Mayor Jack Bradley says, that brings the possibility of Republic Steel restarting its rolling mill…perhaps this year.

The plant has been idled since 2016.

COVID-19 hit the auto industry hard in April of 2020.

This year…a different story.

According to the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers Association, local sales of new vehicles were up last month by more than 90-percent from a year ago, and sales of USED vehicles were up by more than 100-percent.

Your volume leader last month…Ford, followed by Chevrolet and Honda.

They say, scammers are sending bogus emails and text messages, prompting consumers to confirm their personal delivery information by clicking a link or downloading an attachment.

The Postal Service says, this is a scam…and if you click on the link or open the attachment, it can activate a virus and steal information such as usernames, passwords and financial account info.

-The Cleveland Indians won their second straight in Kansas City last night, besting the Royals 7-3.  The Indians play the Royals again tonight in KC.

-The Cleveland Cavaliers fell at home in overtime last night to the Phoenix Suns 134-118.
