An Ottawa County man has been charged with the murder of his wife.
Bond has been set for over $1 million dollars for 43-year-old John Eichner of Genoa.
According to the Sandusky Register, the remains of his wife, Amber, have likely been found in south Toledo…with DNA testing to confirm.
His wife and 4 children were reportedly left behind with a relative in Tennessee, with Amber reported missing last Friday.
John Eichner will be arraigned in court tomorrow.

New numbers from the Ohio Department of Health indicate;
About 42-percent of Lorain County’s residents have received at least one COVID vaccine.
About 33 are fully vaccinated.

A COVID-19 vaccination event will take place today at Huron High School.
The Erie County Health Department will be administering the Pfizer vaccine to Huron students aged 16 and 17 and adult parents.
Appointments are required.
It will take place from 5 to 7 pm.

The City of Sandusky is looking for original artwork to hang on the walls of City Hall.
The deadline to submit an application, which can be found on the City’s website, is May 31st.

An update on the McGuan Park Revitalization Project in Norwalk…
According to Norwalk Ohio News.com, the fundraising goal of $400,000 is close to being met, said Norwalk Parks and Rec Superintendent Joe Lindenberger.
Work has begun on the project; which includes an all-abilities playground, a pump track for kids and adults and a basketball court.
The project has an estimated completion date of early July.

According to the Chronicle Telegram, the Amherst Planning Commission has approved plans for a new building on Route 58 near the Ohio Turnpike.
Mama Jo’s has been in the Amherst Plaza on Cooper-Foster-Park Road since 1998.
