A Sandusky man was arrested Sunday for allegedly trying to set a woman on fire.

52 year old Bonnie Bower told police she had been asleep in 57 year old Daniel Johnson’s bed after a night of drinking. According to Bower, Johnson woke her and told her to leave, when she told him she was too drunk, he poured lighter fluid on her and lit it severely burning her right thigh. Johnson has been charged with second degree felonious assault.

Clyde Green Springs schools are looking to voters for a renewal levy.

The district’s 5.25-mill, five-year renewal operating levy will expire next year, and board members are seeking support of a 10 year extension. The levy generates $1.265 million annually for general operations. The levy will not increase taxes, it will just double the time frame.

Non-township residents causing accidents in Perkins, might notice a new bill.

Perkins police’s “crash-cash” program is in effect. In an agreement with Cost Recovery Corporation, rebates are provided to officers handling crashes. They do this by billing at-fault drivers responsible for collisions or public property damage. Township residents will not get a bill, nor will drivers with adequate insurance. So far, Perkins police have received almost $15,000 from the program.

The former Commercial Vehicle Group property has been sold again.

Mac Lehrer, a Realtor from Hoty Enterprises put together a new deal for a buyer in the amount of $700,000. Norwalk Patriot had just purchased the facility on April 10th for $550,000, a deal which Lehrer also handled.
