A Bellevue teen died in a one-vehicle crash in Seneca County Tuesday afternoon.
The State Highway Patrol says that 14 year-old Alana Reed was a passenger in a pickup truck that drove off the left side of the road, hit a utility pole and overturned.
The driver, 23 year-old Julianna Reed, and other passenger, 15 year-old Anna Reed, received minor injuries.
The crash occurred on Township Road 76 in Pleasant Township.

Governor Mike DeWine noted a rise in COVID-19 hospitalizations across Ohio during his Tuesday news conference.
DeWine said that Ohio had been declining since peaking in mid-July, but hospitalizations are now trending upwards with an increasing number of hospitalizations in rural Ohio.
DeWine went on to say that all regions of the state currently have adequate hospital capacity.

That puts the county at a total of 629.

The Lorain City School System has announced a partnership, to provide COVID-19 testing to students and staff, thanks to an anonymous donation that’ll cover the cost.

The Kroger in Sandusky remains closed following a fire in the back of the store last Thursday.
According to the Sandusky Register, there’s no reopening date yet.
23 year-old Shane Andrews of Sandusky has been charged with aggravated arson in connection with the fire; which led to around $1 million in damages.

Yesterday, there were long lines outside Boards of Elections across Ohio, including the Lorain County Board of Elections on North Ridge Road.

Hydrant flushing is going on this week in Willard, through Thursday.
The city says flushing will take place in and outside of city limits.
The city reminds residents to not wash clothes during this time as they may become stained.

Some of the nation’s top competitive walleye anglers will converge next Wednesday through Friday for the championship event of the 2020 National Walleye Tour.
