The coroner’s office is trying to determine the cause of death, of a man, found dead yesterday, on Griswold Road in Elyria.

Police say, there did not appear to be any signs of foul play.

In area COVID-19 numbers…

Erie County had 23 new reported cases over the weekend to equal 916.

Huron County had 7 new cases on Monday for a total of 530.

A COVID-19 outbreak continues at a Huron nursing home.

According to the Sandusky Register, two people at The Meadows have died from the virus while a total of 29 residents and 9 staff members have tested positive.

The most recent death occurred over the weekend.

A Norwalk woman has been indicted on charges related to the drug overdose death of a Norwalk man.

According to Norwalk Ohio News.com, 36 year-old Jennifer Nichols has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of 27 year-old Ryan Mann.

Nichols is accused of giving drugs laced with fentanyl to Mann last December.

Norwalk Police are reminding residents to keep their vehicles locked.

This comes after a person was caught on surveillance video breaking into cars on Jackson Street on Sunday morning.

A committee of Avon City Council has opened discussion, on whether to consider tax incentives for a recruiting company that wants to expand from an office on Colorado Avenue to property it owns on Chester Road.

According to the Chronicle Telegram, Hunter International employs more than 300 people, but at the moment, only about 2 dozen work in Avon.

The deadline to register to vote in Ohio is October 5th.

Early voting then begins October 6th.

A donation has been made towards a future all-accessible park in Norwalk.

3-thousand-dollars was given by the Norwalk Eagles for the project that will be located at McGuan Park.
