Governor Mike DeWine has signed a Corona Virus-related bill into law.

House Bill 606 protects individuals, schools, health care providers, businesses and other entities from lawsuits related to the exposure, transmission or contraction of COVID-19, as long as there are no signs of reckless, intentional or willful misconduct.

Sandusky Police Chief John Orzech has been recognized by State Attorney General Dave Yost.

During Yost’s annual Law Enforcement Conference on Monday, Orzech received the Distinguished Law Enforcement Service Award, for his work in building trust between the community and his department.

Erie County had 3 cases reported on Monday for a total of 859.

Huron County had 4 reported cases Monday to equal 509 total cases since the pandemic began.

For the first time in two weeks, a resident of Lorain County has died of the Corona Virus. The local death toll since March now stands at 79.

A Norwalk woman was hospitalized after a one-vehicle accident Sunday night.

According to Norwalk Ohio News.com via the State Highway Patrol, 41 year-old Roberta Kennedy was driving too fast when her vehicle left the road and crashed into multiple trees.

The crash happened on Wells Road, east of Norwalk.

They’re auctioning off some no-longer-needed work equipment including a backhoe, bucket truck, crane tractor and other trucks.

The auction will take place September 26th on Franklin Street, behind the new fire station.
