In local COVID-19 numbers, Erie County had 2 more confirmed cases on Sunday for a total of 78.
Huron County saw an increase of 8 cases over the last week to give them 38.
Lorain County Public Health reports 42 deaths linked to COVID-19. 35 of those 42 were residents, 70-years-of-age and older.
Statewide, Ohio went over the 24,000 mark on Sunday for total cases and more than 1,300 deaths.
An employee of the City of Sandusky has tested positive for the Corona Virus.
The employee is not a member of safety services (police or fire departments) and has had limited to no contact with the public; this according to the city and Erie County Health Department.
The health department is working with the employee and has been in contact with any employee or non-employee who was in direct contact with them.
Police in Lorain are asking for your help in sorting out a fatal stabbing.
Police say, early yesterday, they found 40 year-old Luis Martinez-Sanchez in a driveway on Timberview Drive.
He died a short time later.
It was the third unrelated fatal stabbing in Lorain County since Thursday.
It appears, a nasty batch of drugs has surfaced in Lorain County.
Police in Lorain say, they dealt with a number of overdoses this past weekend.
They say, suspected cocaine might have really been fentanyl.
New life for the Lorain County Speedway in Amherst Township…
According to the Chronicle Telegram, a family from Brookpark has bought the oval, with plans to rename it, Lorain Raceway Park, and open sometime this summer.
The same family bought and resurrected the Painesville Speedway in Lake County.

Tens of thousands of ‘birders’ are making alternate plans this week.
Usually, they’d pour into Magee Marsh in Ottawa County for the “Biggest Week in American Birding”.
But this year’s festival was cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns.
The area bills itself as the “Warbler Capital of the World”, as the small, colorful birds migrate from the southern United States to Canada.

An Elyria man was seriously injured in a one vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Huron County’s Fairfield Township.
The State Highway Patrol says 37 year-old Terrance McAfee drove off the left side of the road and overturned into a ditch on State Route 162.
He was air-lifted to Cleveland Metro Hospital.
Alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash.
A railroad crossing closure to report in Huron County…
The tracks on Greenwich Milan Townline Road, between Route 18 and South Norwalk Road, will be shut down starting today to replace the rail crossing.
It’s expected to be closed for 6 days.
Willard High School seniors will take part in a drive-thru graduation ceremony later this month.
Taking place on May 29th in the parking lot next to the football field, graduates will be permitted one per vehicle, be enclosed and wearing a mask.
