Law enforcement officials in Erie County say they’ve been listed as recipients of a fundraiser that they haven’t endorsed.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Office along with police departments from Perkins Township and Sandusky say a Florida-based organization, Blue Blood Brotherhood, has been soliciting local businesses and residents for a fundraiser to be held in March.
Local law enforcement says they will not be participating in the event and for area business owners and residents to make an educated and informed decision if approached by anyone to solicit donations.

A Sandusky man has been indicted by a federal grand jury on 11 drug charges.
According to the Sandusky Register, the charges for 39-year-old Andre Stockett involve the distribution of meth and fentanyl.
Stockett has pled not guilty to the charges that allegedly took place between 2017 and March of 2019.
U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown has sent a letter to iHeartMedia CEO Robert Pittman following mass layoffs at radio stations across Ohio.
Brown raised concerns about the company paying out millions in bonuses to Pittman prior to the company’s bankruptcy in 2018; and asked how increasing pay for executives while laying off employees benefits the long-term interests of the company.
Brown has asked for a response by February 14th.

The Carriage House of Fisher-Titus has announced that they’ll be hosting an ‘Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia’ event next month.
Presented by the Alzheimer’s Association, the event will take place February 4th at 2:00 pm at the Carriage House on Shady Lane in Norwalk.
The annual Sandusky Polar Plunge is set for Saturday at the Thirsty Pony on Cleveland Road.
The plunge benefits over 20,000 Special Olympic athletes in Ohio.
The event gets going at 1:00 pm on Saturday.
More than 100 cars, SUVs, trucks, and vans will be up for bid at this Saturday’s state surplus vehicle auction in Columbus.
The auction will be held at the state’s General Services Division headquarters on Surface Road; beginning at 9:00 am.
All vehicles are sold “as-is” with no warranties.
