The coroner has identified the 7-year-old girl who died in a house fire in Lorain…as Serenity Wilson.
The fire was reported just after 3 Sunday morning.
5 other people got out of the home on Washington Avenue.
Still no word how the fire started…
The City of Port Clinton remains under a boil advisory this morning.
This coming after multiple water main breaks on Monday afternoon.
The water is now all good to go at Monroeville schools.
Superintendent Ralph Moore updated the district with the results of a water retest from Huron County Public Health .
Moore says the retest conducted last week confirmed there is now no issues with the water quality in the Monroeville schools’ kitchen; which had previously shown high signs of lead.
Erie County law enforcement has released results from a recent combined effort to reduce serious injury and fatal crashes.
T.R.I.A.D.D. (Targeting Reckless, Intimidating, Aggressive and Distracted Drivers) took place on State Route 2 between mileposts 16 and 19 in Huron from 9 to 11am over the last 3 Friday, Saturday and Sundays.
Authorities say they issued 61 speeding citations with 10 drivers going more than 90 miles-per-hour and 3 topping out at over 100.
Law enforcement also found 9 drivers in violation of the ‘Move Over or Slow Down’ law for emergency vehicles.
A person was injured in a two-vehicle mishap Monday afternoon at Columbus Avenue and 46th Street in Sandusky.
According to the Sandusky Register, a minivan pulled out in front of a taxi…with the taxi striking the side of the van.
A passenger in the taxi was taken to Firelands Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The minivan driver was charged with ‘failure to yield’.

State Representative Joe Miller of Amherst and another lawmaker from Cleveland have introduced a bill that would designate February 18th, Toni Morrison Day, statewide.
Morrison was a graduate of Lorain High School, and became the first African American women to win the Nobel Prize in literature.
She died earlier this month at the age of 88.
