Sandusky County/Missing teen found safe
Authorities say a 16-year-old Sandusky County girl has been found safe.
Alexia Genzman of Ballville Township was reported missing Tuesday night.
Richland County/Shelby woman dies in accident
A Shelby woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Wednesday in Crawford County near Bucyrus.
Multiple media outlets report that 32-year-old Julie Plew appeared to drive off the left side of the road and into a ditch…with her vehicle going through the air and hitting a utility pole and tree.
The crash took place on Crestline Road near Chambers Road.
Erie County/Man arrested for rape
A Sandusky man with a criminal history of rape has been arrested again after being accused of the same crime.
The Norwalk Reflector reports that 49-year-old Troy Riedy was taken in by authorities at a home on Main Street in Bellevue.
Riedy served 15-years behind bars for gross sexual imposition and rape from 1997 to 2012 and is listed as a “sexual predator” in the state’s sex offender database.
Huron-Erie County/Knife threat suspect
A 74-year-old Wakeman man is being sought out by Erie County law enforcement after being accused of threatening another man with a knife inside a store.
According to the Sandusky Register, Charles Baker has been charged with aggravated menacing following a reported incident at a Sandusky-area store on West Perkins Avenue.
Lorain County/18-year-old to be sentenced for school threats
A young man from Lorain will be sentenced in May after pleading ‘guilty’ to numerous charges, including ‘inducing panic’.
18-year-old Javian Davis was accused of making threats against Elyria High School in September.
Police say, Davis admitted to making the phone calls…that he was upset with his girlfriend who attends the school.
State News/Gas tax approved by DeWine

On July first, you’ll see a spike at the pumps…
Governor Mike DeWine has signed a transportation budget that includes an increase in the state’s gasoline and diesel tax.
The gas tax will jump by 10-and-a-half-cents-a-gallon, while the diesel tax will soar 19-cents-a-gallon.
Proceeds will be earmarked for roads and bridges.
Huron County/City of Norwalk sewer project
Crews are expected to begin work today on Norwalk’s sewer lining project.
The city says it will take place on Linwood between Seminary and Main Street as well as on the north end of Minard by Newton…and to use alternate routes to avoid those areas.
