Erie County/Shooting suspect in Sandusky charged with attempted murder
Authorities have charged a Sandusky man with attempted murder related to a shooting early Sandusky.
60-year-old Anthony Wright was already in jail on a charge of tampering with evidence in connection with the shooting.
Richard Goings was shot multiple times, according to police, and was sent by medical helicopter to a Toledo hospital.
Ottawa County/Pharmacy robbery suspect pleads guilty
An Oak Harbor man charged in connection with the robbery of Port Clinton’s Magruder Hospital pharmacy last February has accepted a plea agreement.
47-year-old Clark Sams Junior pled guilty to complicity to aggravated robbery after prosecutors agreed to drop other charges including grand theft and inducing panic.
Sams was the get-away driver for Joshua Trapp of Clyde; who pled guilty to aggravated robbery and has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Huron County/Car thief wanted by Norwalk Police
Norwalk Police are asking the public for help in identifying and locating a suspect car thief.
Authorities say a white Pontiac G6 was taken from a Rose Avenue residence Saturday night and was later abandoned in front of an ATM at Miller’s grocery store on Whittlesey Avenue.
Photos of the suspect, believed to be a male in his early 20’s, are posted on the Norwalk PD’s Facebook page.
The vehicle has since been recovered.
Lorain County/Online threat found to be old
Police in Lorain have determined, an online threat against the city’s schools, was about a year old and just recently re-surfaced.
Police say, the same post on Snapchat has popped up nationwide.
Huron County/Norwalk factory faces $200,000+ in fines from OSHA
A manufacturer in Norwalk faces a $213,000 fine from OSHA after an employee was hospitalized.
The employee suffered a crushed arm which led to investigators citing American Excelsior Company on Cleveland Road for machine guarding hazards.
The company has 15 business days to respond.

Erie County Health Department officials recently finished testing water samples from 25 county beaches; checking the water for bacteria and other overall condition.
Samples were taken several days a week, all summer long.
Huron County/Willard Domino’s partners with Fire Department
Next Monday and Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in Willard, anyone who orders a Domino’s pizza may be surprised at the door with their food delivered on a fire truck.
The pizza company is teaming up with fire officials to promote Fire Prevention Week.
Those who receive the special delivery will receive their order for free if their smoke alarms are working properly. If not, firefighters will replace them or install new batteries.
