Clyde/Missing woman
Family and friends have now been searching over a week for a Clyde woman believed to have dementia.
70-year-old Charlene Robinson was last seen April 3rd at the Family Dollar store in Bellevue on Ohio 113.
Authorities describe her as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 197 pounds with white hair and blue eyes.
She may be driving a green 1998 Ford Contour (License Plate #AR7 9JC).
If her or her car is located, you’re asked to call Clyde Police.
Sandusky/Car shooting suspect indicted
A Sandusky man who allegedly fired multiple gun shots at an occupied vehicle last month has been indicted on criminal charges.
22-year-old Randy Kimble has been charged with felonious assault.
Police named Kimble as a suspect after witnesses said he fired at a car on Lindsley Street in Sandusky with people inside.
No one was hit.
Port Clinton – Put-in-Bay/Man to prison for 25 year-old crime
A 75-year-old man will spend 4 years in prison after being convicted of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl on his boat on Put-in-Bay 25 years ago.
Ottawa County authorities say the victim first reported the crime 20 years ago after she found a video of the assault, where she was unconscious.
Kevin Lynch of Michigan and Florida plead guilty last November to two counts of sexual battery.
New London/City council finds replacement
New London City Council has found a replacement for the recently resigned Neil Winslow.
Earlier this week, Mayor John Martin announced that Jennifer Ball will fill the vacant seat.
She’ll officially take over May 14th.
New owner of former Clark/Eagle gas station has ‘vision’ for property
Clean-up is underway at the former Clark/Eagle gas station in Norwalk.
Nearby Pizza Cravin’ owner Lanny Gilbert purchased the property for $100 at a sheriff’s auction on Monday.
Gilbert, right now, is looking to clean the area of trees and brush as well as replace the building’s broken glass.
As for future plans, he says he’s keeping that a secret for now.
The vacant gas station was last open in 2005.
Willard/Teacher receives state award
Willard Middle School teacher Kyle von Kamp has been named the recipient of the Outstanding American History Teacher of the Year award.
The honor was given to him by the Ohio Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Von Kamp, who’s been teaching at Willard since 2001, recently brought back Revolutionary War reenactments to the school district.
